Bowman Cutter works closely with the Podesta Group’s senior management to provide strategic guidance to the firm and its clients. Most recently a managing director at Warburg Pincus, Bowman has extensive experience working with international business and economic policy. Prior to this, Bowman served in the Clinton administration as director of the National Economic Council and Deputy Assistant to the President. He also served as the Executive Director for Budget at the Office of Management and Budget during the Carter administration as well as a leader of the OMB transition team after the election of President Obama.
Bowman is currently the Chairman of the Board of CARE, a global development organization; the founder and current chairman of MicroVest, a leading global microfinance fund; and a member of the Governing Council of the IFMR Trust in India, which focuses upon market-based solutions to the problems of severe poverty in India. In addition, he is a member of the executive committee of the Committee for Economic Development; a board member of the Resources for the Future; a member of the New York Council on Foreign Relations; and a board member of the Russell Sage Foundation.
