Molly McKew brings significant international and foreign policy experience to the Podesta Group, which she uses to lead the firm’s growing portfolio of international clients. She moved to the Podesta Group from a DC-based strategic advisory firm, where she directed research projects and campaigns for clients including multinational corporations and select foreign political representations. She helped develop strategies for appropriations, security sector reform, anti-corruption efforts, economic development, and electoral campaigns for the firm’s political clients; for corporate clients, she analyzed regional security issues and political dynamics and helped design corporate responsibility and social engagement initiatives.
Previously, Molly worked as the research program manager of the foreign and defense policy studies department at the American Enterprise Institute, one of Washington’s most prominent think tanks. During her five years at AEI, Molly spearheaded many of the most-talked-about foreign policy initiatives of the institute and was integral to the department’s strategic planning. Molly has worked extensively in the Middle East, West Africa, Latin America, and the former-Soviet states. Her publications have appeared in the Financial Times (London), the Beirut Daily Star and the San Diego Union Tribune, among others, and she has contributed research to publications by DK Books, the Hoover Institution and other policy institutes.
