With experience working on issues ranging from Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act regulation to energy market policies and wireless spectrum management and licensing, Alex Stapleton provides support to the firm’s energy, environment, technology and telecommunications practices. His background includes work related to the Energy Policy Act of 2005, the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 and the American Recovery and Investment Act of 2009. In this role, Alex assists with the development and implementation of legislative and regulatory strategies on behalf of clients, monitoring activity in Congress and relevant executive branch agencies, as well as providing research and analysis in the development of Congressional and administration outreach strategies. Before joining the Podesta Group, Alex gained valuable experience working as an Internet Media Analyst at Showtime Networks, Inc., where he conducted and interpreted marketing and public relations research for the cable network in New York City. A native New Yorker, Alex is a graduate of Duke University, where he earned a BA in American History.
