A recognized leader in technology policy, Beth Inadomi heads the Podesta Group's San Francisco office and advises the firm's California clients. In that role, she provides strategic counsel to Podesta Group clients on issues related to clean technology, information technology, biotechnology and aerospace.In Beth’s more than 20 years of experience in public policy, she has held positions in local, state and federal governments. She served on Capitol Hill as staff counsel for the US Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee, and she was appointed to the science, space and technology cluster of the 1992 Clinton presidential transition team. Beth also led the external relations organization for the NASA Ames Research Center, a top aeronautical and computational research laboratory in Mountain View, CA.Beth has extensive experience in managing a wide range of issue-based campaigns. As a senior strategist at the Podesta Group, she has successfully led a coalition of CEOs from top US information technology firms to develop and negotiate a new national encryption policy agenda with the White House and federal agencies. That achievement caught the attention of her peers and landed Beth a Federal 100 award for her role in the project.But recognition of Beth’s work did not begin at the Podesta Group. She was appointed by the Honorable Arnold Schwarzenegger, former governor of CA, to serve on the California Council for Base Support and Retention in preparation for the nation’s last round of military base closures. She was also appointed by the Honorable Willie Brown, former mayor of San Francisco, to the Telecommunications Commission for the City and County of San Francisco. She currently serves on the board for the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito, CA. A California girl since birth, Beth is a graduate of the University of California at Davis School of Law and the University of California at Los Angeles.
