Christy Markva works on defense, energy, appropriations and budget policy matters. In addition to organizing the daily activities for one of the lead strategists on these issues, Christy monitors relevant policy developments and conducts research for the defense and appropriation clients. Christy joined the Podesta Group after serving as an executive assistant for a government relations firm. She began her career on Capitol Hill working on the House Small Business Committee as a staff assistant and concluded her tenure as the director of operations for the committee.
