A key member of the Podesta Group financial services team, Kathryn Hollister provides research, analysis and strategic insight on a range of issues including policy related to banking, housing, insurance, securities, capital markets, payment networks and privacy. In this capacity, Kathryn assists in the development and implementation of congressional advocacy strategies. She also closely monitors the House Financial Services and Senate Banking Committees, as well as relevant regulatory agencies. When Congress took up financial regulatory reform, Podesta Group clients relied on Kathryn for real-time updates and analysis of the reform process and its policy implications. She serves as a firm expert on the Dodd-Frank Act as the administration implements, and Congress oversees, the law.Kathryn began her career as a Research Assistant in the Boston Municipal Research Bureau and as an intern in the Office of Governor Deval Patrick (D-MA). She also served as a primary assistant for a member of the European Parliament while in Belgium and spent time on the campaign trail volunteering for several congressional campaigns, including John Murtha for Congress. Kathryn has a bachelor's from Northeastern University and is currently studying for the Series 65 Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination.
